Titan Power’s scope of work for this project included the design and build of a local government entity’s Data Center Upgrade. The project focused on upgrading the existing UPS power system and redistributing power to the existing telecom racks.
Titan Power provided engineered documentation for the installation of an additional Eaton/Powerware 80kVA Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Module to supplement the two existing Eaton/Powerware 80kVA UPS modules in the Data Center. All three UPS units (the new and the two existing) were relocated to a central location and connected via a new 250 Amp Parallel Tie Panel, which included three 125 Amp module output breakers and 250 Amp MIS & MBP breakers with Kirk-key interlocks.
The Parallel Tie Panel fed a new Eaton/Powerware 225kVA Power Distribution Unit (PDU) with a K20 TP1 Transformer and four 225 Amp sub-feed breakers. This PDU, in turn, supplied three new Eaton/Powerware Remote Power Panel Distribution Modules (RPPs). The existing panels and distribution equipment were demoed, as power was now being routed to the existing telecom racks via the three new RPPs.
Titan Power also installed remote monitoring on separate circuits using Trend Point technology, providing constant access to load requirements as required by the county.
